This is from S&D's wedding in October 2018. The wedding fell on the first weekend of October and so the late blooming flowers were full of colour, the leaves were turning to reds and golds and Chinnicks Theatre Services set spotlights along the brook and upwards into the trees. Definitely the most beautiful colours we've seen at a venue. The Tipis were set up on a tennis lawn with different sections concealed by the hedge, it was an incredible set up ❤️

Let's talk about capacity... 1 tipi will generally hold 80-100 people standing, depending on the amount of furnishings, and more if the sides are lifted. If you're planning an event in the coming months and aren't sure of how many tipis you'll need, just think that every 10 people is 10% standing capacity. What would you and your guests feel comfortable with? As restrictions are lifted and more becomes possible, the amount of space you give yourselves and your guests will come down to what feels right for you and them.

This natural space is just beyond the reception tent area, an old railway cutting left to nature. Just beyond is a beautiful 40ft Cotswold Stone embankment - a stunning spot for an intimate ceremony or photos. Round tables are traditionally used at weddings and provide more table space for place settings, glassware, sharing food and table decorations. Within tipis, up to 6 tables can be placed in each tipi. While this shows seating for 100 people, it would be easy to put in some extra tables to seat up to 120. I wanted to say something about feeling grateful. Flicking through photos of weddings and events we've worked at, we've so many photos of smiling faces. Cheek-aching smiles all day long, from teary-eyed fathers, guests eagerly awaiting their hosts, husbands-to-be eagerly awaiting their brides. It is so wonderful to be a part of this and to be a part of the weddings to come. This weekend, we've been working on plans for social distanced weddings - small intimate events of 10 people to deservedly mark couples' lives as newly-weds in a responsible way. These small celebrations are special beyond belief, a way to mark the occasion while couples wait patiently for their rescheduled wedding celebration date. Lights can be set to a single colour, ie white during the day, then to rotate colours in the evening. The darker it gets outside, the more impressive the lights look! We often get asked about the lighting we provide. The fairy lights are set up to chandelier from the very top of the tipis to the horizontal poles about 10 feet up. From this point, they are wrapped around the poles to the base. The the daylight, they twinkle, but at night time they are warm and atmospheric, and plenty bright enough for reading small letters on wedding menus. If you would like additional lighting inside the tipis, there are a couple of places where additional fairy lights could be added without it feeling like too much. Get in touch to chat with us 🙂⠀

This Cotswold Tipis wedding was set out with 3 tipis in a line, with a top entrance where the guests were welcomed and dined in the 1st and 2nd tipis. Drinks were served outside by the team at @bardecru from their stunning black vintage van and a baby tipi bar. Further down the tipis was a second entrance leading from the dance floor and fire pit to an area with sets of garden furniture and a stream beautifully lit up with coloured spotlights.⠀
